Kasiviswanathan Shanmugam is a Singaporean politician and lawyer who has served as the Coordinating Minister for National Security since 2025 and Minister for Home Affairs since 2015. A prominent member of the People's Action Party, he has represented the Chong Pang division of the Nee Soon Group Representation Constituency as a Member of Parliament since 2011. Before entering politics, he was a highly regarded litigation lawyer and one of the youngest individuals to be appointed Senior Counsel in Singapore. Throughout his career, he has held several key cabinet positions, including Minister for Law, and has been a central figure in shaping Singapore's legal and security policies.
