Heather Keeler

Heather Keeler is an American politician serving as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2021, representing District 4A. An enrolled member of the Yankton Sioux Tribe, she has been a prominent advocate for Native American human rights, authoring legislation to establish an office for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives and promoting the adoption of Indigenous People's Day. Before her election, she worked in multicultural recruitment at North Dakota State University and served on local human rights commissions. Keeler is a member of the People of Color and Indigenous (POCI) Caucus and has focused her legislative efforts on education, food security, and social equity.
