Peter Johnson

Peter Johnson is an American politician and firefighter currently serving as a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives for District 8A, having assumed office in January 2025. Born in rural Lake County, Minnesota, he graduated from Two Harbors High School and later attended St. Cloud University while working in emergency medical services. Before his election to the state legislature, Johnson built a career as a professional firefighter, serving in Lakewood, Colorado, and later with the Duluth Fire Department. In his political role, he has emphasized his background in public safety and community service. Johnson resides in Duluth with his wife and two daughters, where he is also active in coaching youth sports.
