Heike Winzent is a German politician and the current President of the Landtag of Saarland. Born in Neunkirchen, she began her career as a civil servant and worked for the city administration of Neunkirchen until 2019. A member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) since 2007, she entered the state parliament in 2019 and was elected as the first female President of the Landtag of Saarland in 2022. Beyond her parliamentary duties, she has served as a lecturer in municipal law and is active in various social and charitable organizations.
