Hein van der Loo

Hein van der Loo is a Dutch administrator and politician currently serving as the Mayor of Almere, a position he has held since March 2023. Previously, he served as the Mayor of Zwijndrecht from 2019 to 2023. Before entering public office, he had a career spanning over two decades in the financial sector, holding leadership roles at Rabobank and ABN AMRO. He holds a degree in public administration from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Since September 2024, he has also served as the chairman of the Veiligheidsberaad. Van der Loo is politically independent.
