Herbert Kickl is an Austrian politician who has served as the federal party chairman of the Freedom Party of Austria (FPÖ) since 2021. A prominent figure in right-wing politics, he previously served as the Federal Minister of the Interior from 2017 to 2019. Kickl has been a member of the National Council since 2019, having previously held the seat from 2006 to 2017. Known for his populist rhetoric and focus on migration and security, he led the FPÖ to become the strongest party in the 2024 national elections.
