Hideko Nishioka is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives, representing the Nagasaki 1st district. Born in Nagasaki, she is the daughter of the late politician Takeo Nishioka. After working at NEC and serving as her father's secretary, she entered politics and was first elected to the Diet in 2017. A member of the Democratic Party for the People, she serves as the representative for the party's Nagasaki prefectural branch. Her policy positions include support for constitutional amendment while opposing the creation of emergency clauses, and she advocates for the eventual phase-out of nuclear power. She has been re-elected multiple times, most recently in the 2026 general election.
