坂井英隆

Hidetaka Sakai is a Japanese politician and former bureaucrat currently serving as the Mayor of Saga City. Born in Saga, he graduated from the University of Tokyo and later obtained a Juris Doctor from Keio University Law School. After passing the bar exam, he worked as a lawyer before joining the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, where he served in various departments including the Railway Bureau and the Automotive Bureau. He was first elected as Mayor of Saga in 2021 and secured a second term in 2025 after running unopposed. His political platform has focused on urban development and regional revitalization.
