原田博美

Hiromi Harada is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kiyose, Tokyo. Born in Kumamoto City, she graduated from the Japan College of Social Work. Before her election as mayor in 2026, she served six consecutive terms as a member of the Kiyose City Council, where she held the position of vice-chair. Her mayoral campaign focused on criticizing the previous administration's policy of closing municipal libraries, and she was elected with the support of several opposition parties. Since taking office, she has navigated challenges regarding the implementation of her campaign promises, including the decision to abandon the reopening of the former central library due to ongoing demolition work.
