Higinio Martínez Miranda is a Mexican physician and politician currently serving as a Senator of the Republic for the State of Mexico. A founding member of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), he has held numerous elected positions throughout his career, including serving as the municipal president of Texcoco and as a local deputy in the Congress of the State of Mexico. He previously served as a senator from 1997 to 2000 and was re-elected to the Senate in 2018 and again in 2024. Throughout his political tenure, he has been a prominent figure in the state's political landscape, having also served briefly as the chief of staff for the government of the State of Mexico in 2023.
