Hilary Armstrong

Hilary Armstrong, Baroness Armstrong of Hill Top, is a British politician and a life peer in the House of Lords. She previously served as the Member of Parliament for North West Durham from 1987 to 2010, during which time she held several high-profile government positions, including Chief Whip and Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster under Prime Minister Tony Blair. A member of the Labour Party, she has been involved in various parliamentary committees and is known for her work on social policy and children's issues. She continues to participate in legislative activities as a peer.
