Lindsay Whittle

Lindsay Whittle is a Welsh politician serving as a Member of the Senedd for the Blaenau Gwent Caerffili Rhymni constituency since 2026. A long-standing member of Plaid Cymru, he previously served as a Member of the Senedd for South Wales East from 2011 to 2016 and for Caerphilly from 2025 to 2026. Before his national parliamentary career, Whittle was a dedicated local government figure, representing the Penyrheol ward as a councillor for nearly five decades and serving twice as the Leader of Caerphilly County Borough Council. Throughout his career, he has focused on social services, equality, and community safety, and he has been a frequent candidate for the Westminster Parliament, notably winning the Caerphilly by-election in 2025.
