Hilary Benn

Hilary Benn is a British politician serving as the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland since 2024. A member of the Labour Party, he has represented Leeds South (formerly Leeds Central) as a Member of Parliament since 1999. Throughout his extensive career, Benn has held several ministerial positions, including Secretary of State for International Development and Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. Known for his experience in foreign policy and international development, he has also served in various shadow cabinet roles and chaired the Committee on the Future Relationship with the European Union.
