Hirohisa Fujii is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Toyama. Born in 1962, he previously served three terms as a member of the Toyama Prefectural Assembly starting in 2011. Before entering politics, he was a business executive, including serving as the representative director and chairman of Fujii Sangyo Co., Ltd. First elected mayor in 2021 with broad support from major political parties, he has focused on continuing the city's 'compact city' policy, promoting smart city initiatives, and advocating for child-centered social policies. He was re-elected to a second term in April 2025.
