阿部裕行

Hiroyuki Abe is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Tama City, Tokyo. Born in Koganei, Tokyo, he graduated from the Nihon University College of Law and previously worked for the Japan Newspaper Publishers and Editors Association. After an unsuccessful bid for mayor in 2002, he was first elected in 2010 and has since secured five consecutive terms. Throughout his tenure, he has focused on fiscal reform, reducing personnel costs, addressing childcare shortages, and promoting sustainable development through UNESCO schools. He is also known for his efforts in urban regeneration within the Tama New Town area and his commitment to peace and gender equality initiatives.
