Hsu Chia-ching

Hsu Chia-ching is a Taiwanese politician currently serving as the Minister of the Overseas Community Affairs Council, a position she has held since 2023. She previously served as a Taipei City Councillor from 2002 to 2014 and held several leadership roles within the Democratic Progressive Party, including deputy secretary-general and acting secretary-general. Hsu holds a Bachelor of Science in agronomy from National Taiwan University, a Diplom in sociology from Marburg University in Germany, and a Master of Science in health and welfare policy from National Yang-Ming University. Her political career was initially inspired by the Peng Wan-ru murder incident, leading her to focus on women's affairs and social policy throughout her tenure.
