Huang Jie

Huang Jie is a Taiwanese politician serving as a Member of the Legislative Yuan for Kaohsiung's sixth constituency. A graduate of National Taiwan University with dual degrees in public health and sociology, she previously worked as a journalist and legislative assistant before being elected to the Kaohsiung City Council in 2018. Known for her prominent political advocacy and questioning of municipal policies, she joined the Democratic Progressive Party and won election to the national legislature in 2024, becoming the first openly gay legislator in Taiwan.
