Huang Wei-che is a Taiwanese politician and medical researcher who has served as the Mayor of Tainan since December 2018. Born in Cigu District, Tainan, he comes from a family of physicians and pursued extensive academic training in the United States, earning a Master of Public Administration from Harvard University and a Master of Public Health from Yale University. Before his election as mayor, he served as a member of the Legislative Yuan from 2005 to 2018. Throughout his career, he has focused on public administration and health policy, representing the Democratic Progressive Party in local and national governance.
