Hunter Smith is an American politician and former professional football player currently serving as the representative for District 24 in the Indiana House of Representatives. Before entering politics, Smith had a notable career in the National Football League as a punter, most notably playing for the Indianapolis Colts, with whom he won Super Bowl XLI. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, he is also a musician and author. Smith was elected to the Indiana Statehouse in 2024 after winning the Republican primary and the subsequent general election.
