Ian Wrigglesworth is a British politician and life peer who has served as a Member of the House of Lords since 2013. Previously, he was a Member of Parliament for Thornaby from 1974 to 1981 and for Stockton South from 1983 to 1987, initially representing the Labour Party before becoming a founding member of the Social Democratic Party. A former president of the Liberal Democrats, he has also held significant roles in the business and cultural sectors, including chairing the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art.
