Igor Papič

Igor Papič is a Slovenian engineer and politician currently serving as the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Slovenia, a position he has held since January 2023. Previously, he served as the Minister of Education, Science and Sport from June 2022 to January 2023. Before entering national politics, Papič had a distinguished academic career, notably serving as the rector of the University of Ljubljana from 2017 to 2021. He is recognized for his background in electrical engineering and his contributions to higher education administration in Slovenia.
