Ilchan Achmet

Ilchan Achmet is a Greek politician of Turkish origin who currently serves as a Member of the Hellenic Parliament. Born in Komotini in 1968, he studied law at Istanbul University and has practiced as a lawyer since 1999. Throughout his political career, he has represented the Rhodope constituency, having been first elected in 2004 with New Democracy and later re-elected in 2015 as a member of the social-liberal party To Potami. He has also served as a member of the Rhodope prefectural council and as secretary general of the Western Thrace Minority University Graduates Association.
