Imran Pratapgarhi is an Indian Urdu-language poet and politician currently serving as a Member of the Rajya Sabha representing Maharashtra. Known for his protest poetry that highlights Muslim identity and social issues, he gained prominence through his popular Urdu nazms such as 'Madrasa' and 'Han Main Kashmir Hoon.' Before his election to the upper house of Parliament in 2022, he served as the chairman of the Minority Department of the All India Congress Committee. He is a recipient of the Yash Bharti Award, the highest honor conferred by the Uttar Pradesh government.
