犬童周作

Shusaku Indo is a Japanese politician and former high-ranking bureaucrat currently serving as a member of the House of Councillors. Born in Hitoyoshi, Kumamoto, he graduated from the University of Tokyo and spent decades in the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, specializing in information and communications policy. He also served as a senior official at the Digital Agency and as a secretary to the Minister of Internal Affairs. After retiring from the bureaucracy in 2024, he was elected to the House of Councillors in 2025 as a candidate supported by the National Association of Postmasters, securing the highest number of votes within the Liberal Democratic Party in the proportional representation block.
