He also served as a senior official at the Digital Agency and as a secretary to the Minister of Internal Affairs. After retiring from the bureaucracy in 2024, he was elected to the House of Councillors in 2025 as a candidate supported by the National Association of Postmasters, securing the highest number of votes within the Liberal Democratic Party in the proportional representation block.
