Ingo Meyer is a German lawyer and politician who has served as the Lord Mayor of Hildesheim since February 2014. An independent politician, he was first elected in 2013 with the support of a coalition including the CDU, SPD, and the Green Party, and was subsequently re-elected in 2021. Before entering politics, Meyer had a successful career as a lawyer and tax consultant, working for firms such as Arthur Andersen and Bird & Bird. He holds a doctorate in law from the University of Göttingen.
