Since January 2024, he has served as a member of the Landtag of Hesse, where he also holds the position of Parliamentary Secretary for the CDU parliamentary group. A lawyer by training, Schon previously worked as a judge and held various administrative roles within the Hessian state government, including serving as a chief of staff for several ministers. He has been a member of the Eltville city council since 1997 and currently serves as the president of the city council assembly.
