Ingrīda Circene is a Latvian politician and member of the Unity party who has served multiple terms in the Saeima, the parliament of Latvia. Born in Riga in 1956, she began her political career as a member of the Council of Aizpute before joining the New Era Party and winning election to the 8th Saeima in 2002. She has twice served as the Minister for Health of Latvia, first from 2003 to 2004 and again from 2011 until her resignation in 2014, in addition to holding mandates in the 9th and 10th Saeima.
