熊谷 一平

Ippei Kumagai is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the Miyagi Prefectural Assembly. Before his election to the prefectural assembly, he worked for the Miyagi Prefectural Government for 14 years, including roles in fisheries and health welfare during the aftermath of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake. He subsequently served two terms as a member of the Kesennuma City Council. Kumagai focuses on regional revitalization, disaster recovery, and addressing population decline through enhanced cooperation between local municipalities and the prefectural government.
