Irene Costa is a Portuguese politician and social worker who currently serves as a member of the Assembly of the Republic, representing the Braga constituency. Born in 1972 in Vizela, she holds a degree in social work and spent nearly two decades working for the northern regional health service of Portugal. Before entering national politics, she served as a deputy in the Vizela municipal assembly and was elected president of the Lions Club of Vizela in 2020. She was first elected to the national parliament in 2022 and was re-elected in 2024 as a candidate for the Socialist Party.
