Isabel Ferreira is a Portuguese scientist and politician currently serving as the Mayor of Bragança, having been elected in October 2025. A distinguished academic in the agri-food sector, she is a principal coordinating professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança and has held significant research leadership roles. Her political career includes serving as Secretary of State for Upgrading the Interior and later for Regional Development between 2019 and 2024.
