Isabella Vértes-Schütter is a German politician and artist who has served as a member of the Hamburgische Bürgerschaft since 2011. Born in Hamburg, she is a medical doctor by training and has had a distinguished career in the performing arts, notably serving as the director of the Ernst Deutsch Theater since 1995. A member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD), she has been re-elected to the state parliament multiple times, most recently in 2025. Throughout her career, she has received numerous honors, including the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and the German Acting Prize.
