Isabelle Charest is a Canadian politician and former competitive speed skater who currently serves as a Member of the National Assembly of Quebec. Before entering politics, she had a distinguished athletic career, competing in three Winter Olympics between 1994 and 2002 and winning two bronze medals in the 3000-metre relay. She also served as the Chef de Mission for Team Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Since her election to the National Assembly in 2018 representing the Coalition Avenir Québec, she has been involved in provincial policy debates, including public discourse regarding Quebec values and religious symbols.
