Isamu Hosoda is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly. Born in 1961, he graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration at Soka University. Before entering politics, he worked as a public and policy secretary for a member of the House of Representatives and later held a management position at a small-to-medium-sized food company. He served three terms as a Koto Ward council member starting in 2007 before being elected to the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly in 2017. Hosoda focuses on disaster prevention, child-rearing support, and economic policies for small businesses.
