八島 功男

Isao Yashima is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the Ibaraki Prefectural Assembly, representing Tsuchiura City. A graduate of Soka University's Faculty of Law, he previously had a long career in the banking sector, working at Joyo Bank where he held several managerial positions. First elected to the prefectural assembly in 2010, he is now serving his fourth term. He is active in the Komeito party, serving as the secretary-general of the party's Ibaraki prefectural headquarters, and focuses on policy areas including healthcare, disaster prevention, and regional economic development.
