Ismet Beqiri

Ismet Beqiri is a Kosovar politician who served as a long-term Member of the Assembly of Kosovo, holding the seat for six terms between 2007 and 2021. Born in Tërrnavë, Podujevë, he moved to Pristina at a young age and later graduated from the Faculty of Law at the University of Pristina. Before his extensive parliamentary career, he served as the Mayor of Pristina from 2002 to 2007. Within the Democratic League of Kosovo, he held significant leadership roles, including General Secretary from 2010 to 2019 and Vice President from 2019 to 2021. His early professional background includes working as a professor at a technical school and as the director of the Gërmia swimming pool complex.
