Iva Rinčić

Iva Rinčić is a Croatian politician and academic serving as the Mayor of Rijeka since June 2025. Before her election as mayor, she served as a member of the Rijeka City Council and the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Assembly. An academic by profession, she has held various positions at the University of Rijeka, including at the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Health Studies, and served as the director of the University of Rijeka Foundation from 2013 to 2021. In 2024, she became the first woman to serve as president of the Croatian Bioethics Society.
