Iwan Demerdżiew

Ivan Demerdzhiev is a Bulgarian attorney and politician currently serving as a Member of the National Assembly. A graduate of Plovdiv University, he practiced law for many years and held leadership roles in the Plovdiv Bar Association. Throughout his career, he has served in multiple caretaker governments, including as Minister of Justice in 2021 and as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs between 2022 and 2023. In 2026, he was elected to the National Assembly and subsequently appointed as Minister of Internal Affairs.
