Ivica Kirin

Ivica Kirin is a Croatian politician who has served as the Mayor of Virovitica since 2003. A member of the Croatian Democratic Union, he previously served as the Minister of the Interior from 2005 to 2008, becoming the youngest member of Prime Minister Ivo Sanader's cabinet at the time. He resigned from his ministerial post in December 2007 following a controversy involving a hunting trip with a war crimes suspect. Since returning to local politics, he has continued to lead Virovitica, focusing on regional development and EU fund utilization.
