J. David Weeks is an American politician and attorney who has served as a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives since 2000, representing District 51 in Sumter County. Throughout his legislative career, he has held significant leadership roles, including chairing the Legislative Black Caucus and serving as the Vice Chair of the House Ethics Committee. He is also a member of the Ways and Means Committee. An attorney by profession, Weeks holds a B.A. from Morris College, a J.D. from the University of South Carolina, and an M.Ed. from Howard University.
