Jón Pétur Zimsen

Jón Pétur Zimsen is an Icelandic politician and a member of the Althing, having been elected during the 2024 Icelandic parliamentary election. A graduate of the University of Iceland, he has a background in education, previously serving as an assistant principal at Réttarholt School. In 2018, he was appointed as an assistant to the Minister of Education and Culture, Lilja Alfreðsdóttir. He continues to be involved in the Icelandic political landscape as a representative of the Independence Party.
