Sigurjón Þórðarson

Sigurjón Þórðarson is an Icelandic politician currently serving as a member of the Althing, having been elected in 2024 representing the People's Party. He previously served in the Althing for the Liberal Party from 2003 to 2007 and was elected as the leader of the Liberal Party in 2010. Beyond his parliamentary career, he served on the municipal council of Skagafjörður. Sigurjón holds a degree in biology from the University of Iceland and studied water pollution control technology at Cranfield University. He is also known for his role as a goði, a pagan priest within the Ásatrúarfélagið organization.
