Jānis Patmalnieks is a Latvian politician and lawyer currently serving as a member of the 14th Saeima. A member of the New Unity party, he has held various high-level advisory and administrative roles, including serving as the head of the Prime Minister's office under Krišjānis Kariņš from 2019 to 2022 and as a parliamentary secretary for the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Smart Administration and Regional Development. He holds degrees in law and philosophy from the University of Latvia.
