Jānis Reirs

Jānis Reirs is a Latvian politician born in Riga on September 23, 1961. He has served extensively in the government of Latvia, holding key positions such as Minister of Finance across multiple cabinets from 2019 to 2022 and Minister for Welfare from 2016 to 2019. A co-founder of the New Era Party which later merged into Unity, Reirs has also contributed as a member of the Latvian Parliament and participated in international financial governance boards.
