Professionally, he worked as a vocational teacher. In addition to his state-level mandate, he serves on the city council of Dessau-Roßlau and the local council of Kochstedt. He is also the chairman of the FDP district association in Dessau-Roßlau and holds positions in the Landtag's education and finance committees.
