J. T. Payne

James Thomas Payne is an American politician serving as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives for the 11th district since 2025. Born in 1998, he is currently the youngest member of the Kentucky General Assembly. Payne holds a background in education, having served as an agriculture teacher and advisor for the Future Farmers of America before becoming an assistant principal for career and technical education at Henderson County High School. He earned his degrees from Murray State University, where he was active in student government.
