Jack de Vries

Jack de Vries is a Dutch politician and political consultant who has served as the Mayor of Maassluis since June 2024. A member of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA), he previously gained prominence as a strategic advisor and 'spindoctor' for Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende. De Vries served as the State Secretary of Defence from 2007 to 2010. Throughout his career, he has balanced roles in national politics with extensive experience in communications and public affairs consultancy.
