Jaime Durán Barrera

Jaime Enrique Durán Barrera is a Colombian politician and lawyer currently serving as a Senator of the Republic. A member of the Liberal Party, he began his political career as a councilman and later mayor of San Gil, Santander. Throughout his extensive career, he has served as the departmental comptroller of Santander, a deputy in the Santander Assembly, and a member of the Chamber of Representatives, where he also held the position of Vice President. He has been a consistent figure in Colombian legislative politics since the late 1980s.
