James Hoth Mai

James Hoth Mai is a South Sudanese politician and former military officer currently serving as the Minister of Labor in the Transitional Government of National Unity. Born in Ulang County, he joined the Sudan People's Liberation Army (SPLA) in 1983 and played a significant role during the Second Sudanese Civil War. He served as the Chief of General Staff of the SPLA from 2009 to 2014. In addition to his ministerial role, he represents Ulang County as a member of the national parliament and has been a prominent leader within the Nuer community.
