James Andrew Malone is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Pennsylvania State Senate for the 36th district. Elected in a special election in March 2025, Malone achieved a significant political upset by flipping a historically Republican seat. Prior to his tenure in the state legislature, he served as the mayor of East Petersburg, Pennsylvania, a position he held from 2017 until his election to the Senate. In the state legislature, he serves on several committees, including as the minority chair of the Game & Fisheries Committee.
