James Ruchti

James Ruchti is an American attorney and politician currently serving as a member of the Idaho Senate for the 29th district, a position he has held since 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, he previously served in the Idaho House of Representatives from 2006 to 2010 and again from 2020 to 2022. Before his political career, Ruchti served as an officer in the United States Army's Military Intelligence Corps, retiring with the rank of captain. He is a practicing personal injury attorney based in Pocatello, Idaho.
